Martin A Harvey BCL LLB
Martin followed in his father’s footsteps attending the North Monastery and thereafter qualified in UCC obtaining his Law Degree and Post Graduate Degree (LLB Hons) in 1976 and 1978 respectively. He was subsequently called to the Roll of Solicitors in 1988 and has practiced in the firm of Martin A. Harvey & Co. Solicitors since that date. He has wide experience in all areas of Law and in particular the areas of Compensation Law and Unfair Dismissal.
Martin has been the principal of the firm since admission to the roll of solicitors in 1988. Martin specialises in both Circuit and High court litigation with a focus on Personal Injury Litigation to include road traffic accidents, local authority trip and fall cases, workplace accidents and fatal injuries claims.
Martin has represented clients in all aspects of Circuit and High Court litigation to include breach of contract and defamation proceedings.
As well as practising as a Solicitor in General Practise he is also the Sheriff and Revenue Sheriff in City of Cork and is also Returning Officer in the Elections for the North Central and South Central Constituencies. Martin A. Harvey takes great pride in his work, in advising clients and assisting them in difficult situations and takes great pleasure in doing a good job on behalf of all clients.
William Harvey LLM
William joined Martin A Harvey Solicitors in 2012. William is a partner in the firm and specialises in all areas of litigation to include District, Circuit & High Court. William has represented clients in various areas of litigation to include Personal Injuries, Injuries suffered in Road Traffic Accidents, Workplace Accidents, Fatal Accidents and Trip and Fall cases amongst others. William is also highly knowledgeable in the law of defamation.
William attends all Courts on behalf of the Office and he has extensive experience in Road Traffic Material damage (Vehicle Damage) claims, Debt recovery and applications to extend time to file annual returns on behalf of Limited Companies, an innovative application recently introduced under the Companies Act 2014. William also deals with all areas of employment law from both an employers and employees perspective.
Marie O’Brien BCL
Marie qualified as a Solicitor in 1994. She has worked in the firm for over 15 years. She practices in the areas of Family, Litigation, Property and Probate. She represents Clients at Circuit Court and High Court levels. She has considerable experience in all aspects of law but still thrives on new challenges.
Patricia O’Sullivan BCL AITI
Patricia qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 and has 15 years of experience specialising in Conveyancing (residential and commercial) and Probate and Estate Administration. Patricia is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a member of STEP (Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners), the professional body for trust and estate practitioners worldwide. Patricia holds a Law Society Diploma in Commercial Conveyancing and a Diploma in Wills, Trust and Estate Planning. She enjoys meeting Clients and the challenges of varied conveyancing work.
Fergal O’Sullivan BCL LLM
Fergal joined Martin A Harvey & Co Solicitors in January 2014. Fergal qualified from University College Cork in 2005 with a BCL degree. Fergal went on to do a masters in University College Dublin obtaining a First Class Honours Degree in Criminology. Fergal was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2009.
Fergal specialises in all areas of Personal Injuries litigation to include District, Circuit and High Court. Fergal also has experience in the areas of Probate and Conveyancing.
