Martin followed in his father’s footsteps attending the North Monastery and thereafter qualified in UCC obtaining his Law Degree and Post Graduate Degree (LLB Hons) in 1976 and 1978 respectively. He was subsequently called to the Roll of Solicitors in 1988 and has practiced in the firm of Martin A. Harvey & Co. Solicitors since that date. He has wide experience in all areas of Law and in particular the areas of Compensation Law and Unfair Dismissal. Martin has been the principal of the firm since admission to the roll of solicitors in 1988. Martin specialises in both Circuit and High court litigation with a focus on Personal Injury Litigation to include road traffic accidents, local authority Trip and Fall cases, workplace accidents and fatal injuries claims. Martin has represented clients in all aspects of Circuit and High Court litigation to include breach of contract and defamation proceedings. As well as practising as a Solicitor in General Practise he is also the Sheriff and Revenue Sheriff in City of Cork and is also Returning Officer in the Elections for the North Central and South Central Constituencies.
