Martin Harvey has been the principal of the firm since admission to the Roll of Solicitors in 1978. He specialises in both Circuit and High court litigation with a focus on Personal Injury Litigation to include road traffic accidents, local authority Trip and Fall cases, workplace accidents, and fatal injuries claims. Martin has over 40 years of experience specialising in Personal Injuries Litigation.
Martin followed in his father’s footsteps attending the North Monastery and thereafter qualified in UCC, obtaining his Law Degree and Post Graduate Degree (LLB Hons) in 1976 and 1978 respectively. He was subsequently called to the Roll of Solicitors in 1978 and has practiced in the firm of Martin A. Harvey & Co. Solicitors since that date. He has wide experience in all areas of Law and in particular the areas of Compensation Law and Personal Injuries.
Martin Harvey has represented clients in all aspects of Circuit and High Court litigation including breach of contract and defamation proceedings. In addition to his practice a Solicitor, he also serves as the Sheriff and Revenue Sheriff for the City of Cork and a Returning Officer in the Elections for the North Central and South Central Constituencies. Martin takes great pride in his work, especially in regard to advising clients and assisting them in difficult situations, and takes great pleasure in doing a good job on behalf of all clients.
